ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (E)

Bowhead seeks to network with an Electrical Engineer to join our team at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Dahlgren, VA. This position will require full onsite work at the Bowhead office or Navy installation. No remote opportunity for this contract.

• Design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacturing of electrical and electronic equipment for electronic warfare systems.
• Direct system engineering of electronic warfare systems.
• Prepare and implement directives to ensure effective engineering support, and establish and enforce standards to ensure that the assigned workforce is properly trained and equipped.
• Other duties as assigned.

• A BA or BS required in Electrical Engineering.
• Mid‑level (5 years of experience) or senior‑level (10 years of experience) in electromagnetic system design, analysis, and test with U.S. Navy/Joint DE systems including pulsed power, RF, laser, and CIED systems and components.
• Demonstrated skills to design and develop specialized electronics.
• Prior experience with legacy Electronic Warfare Systems is preferred.
• Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds and/or move up to 30 pounds.
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time.
• Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically.

Security clearance required: must be able to maintain a clearance at the Secret level. U.S. citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
