Due to ongoing success and growth a Hi-Tech engineering company located in Virginia (USA) who specialise in the industry of Space, Aviation and Aerospace for Satellite Electronics are seeking to hire a new Electrical Test Engineer to join the growing team and business. The ideal Test Engineer will have a back ground in Electrical/Electronic Hardware.
Salary on offer:The annual salary on offer for the successful Electrical Test Engineer is $100,000-$120,000 per annum, depending on skillset and experience.
Summary of the Electrical Test Engineering Role:The successful Electrical Test Engineer to support the full test lifecycle for satellite avionics hardware that will include Design test interface boards (TIBs) for board-level functional, environmental, and performance verification.
Electrical Test Engineer KeySkills:
- Education - Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Fresh out of college/University and have up to 5 years minimum experience
- Experience in hardware test engineering for aerospace, defense, automotive, high-reliability electronics, automotive, manufacturing or other industries
- Good understanding/experience of electronic circuits (analogue, digital & power circuits)
- Experience in electronic fault finding down to component level
- Strong ability to read/understand technical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Hands-on lab experience with board bring-up, run tests, troubleshooting, basic documentation rework, and instrumentation
- Proficiency with electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, etc)
- Experience with programming/scripting languages (C, C++, Python, LabVIEW, NI Test Stand) and ability to develop and maintain test software – Big Bonus
