An engineering design firm is seeking an Electrical Buyer to join their team in each of the following locations:

• Northern Virginia
• South Hill, VA
• Fort Worth, TX

The role will be fully on-site in one of these locations - no hybrid or remote exceptions. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE COMING FROM AN ELECTRICAL DISTRIBUTOR OR ADJACENT INDUSTRY!!

A leading engineering and construction firm is seeking Electrical Buyers to support Senior Buyers on large, mission-critical construction projects. This on-site role supports procurement execution for complex builds such as hyperscale data centers, where material availability directly impacts schedule and cost.

The position offers progression from transactional purchasing into full project-based procurement ownership, with increasing responsibility across planning, execution, and supplier strategy.

• Fast-paced, on-site construction setting
• Multi-phase campus builds spanning 5–10+ years
• Daily collaboration with field teams, project managers, and suppliers

Procurement Execution

• Support sourcing and purchasing of electrical materials (e.g., switch gear, breakers, conduit, cable)
• Issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure accuracy
• Coordinate with vendors on lead times, shortages, and logistics
• Maintain procurement data in ERP systems

Procurement Planning & Ownership

• Develop and execute procurement plans aligned with construction schedules
• Own site-level procurement activities from planning through execution
• Support the full lifecycle from estimate through installation
• Assist with long-term supplier agreements
• Support pricing, cost control, and negotiations
• Identify and qualify alternative suppliers during constraints
• Build strong supplier relationships

Project Integration

• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams
• Align materials with construction sequencing
• Proactively identify and mitigate supply, cost, and schedule risks
