Job Title: System Administrator

SUMMARY

Agile Defense is seeking a Spectrum Management Specialist to join our team supporting a mission‑critical federal law‑enforcement agency. In this role, the Spectrum Management Specialist will be responsible for developing required frequency plans according to the system requirements and National Telecommunications Information Administration (NTIA) standards, policies, and procedures; preparing radio frequency applications involving both Government and non‑Government frequencies; ensuring requests conform to NTIA, FCC, or other established policies;

and utilizing the Spectrum XXI tool.

The successful candidate will also review, correct, and update frequency assignments in accordance with the NTIA Five‑Year Review Program; use specialized engineering computer programs to retrieve frequency information from the Government Master File (GMF), Spectrum XXI, Hertz Warfare, Annex I, and Canadian TAFL; coordinate, select, and manage frequency assignments with NTIA, FCC, and other agencies; identify and develop transition plans for operational activities to migrate from legacy systems;

conduct performance analysis of legacy operations to compare against proposed designs; and identify spectrum resources required for network build‑out.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Require 10 years of extensive experience in an engineering and spectrum management discipline such as frequency assignment, spectrum certification, spectrum allocation, and spectrum policy/regulation/procedures.
  • Prepare radio frequency applications involving both Government and non‑Government frequencies, ensuring requests conform to NTIA, FCC, and other established policies.
  • Maintain robust knowledge of radio frequency management and support radio systems.
  • Perform federal spectrum frequency allocation and assignments, using the Spectrum XXI tool for national‑level assignments.
  • Review, correct, and update frequency assignments in accordance with the NTIA Five‑Year Review Program.
  • Have experience with Land Mobile Radio systems.
QUALIFICATIONS

Required Certifications

Completion of Spectrum XXI Training Course

Education, Background, and Experience

Preferred B.S. Degree in Information Systems Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Alternatively, completion of either U.S. DoD military frequency management schools (Inter‑service Radio Frequency Management School at Keesler AFB, MS or Electromagnetic Spectrum Management Course don, GA) or an equivalent course.

Minimum 10 years of related experience.
