Position: Electrical Commissioning Specialist – Data Centers (Northern Virginia)

Silver Back is looking for a Data Center Electrical Commissioning Lead (Level III) to join our team in Northern Virginia. This role is focused on high-availability systems (Tier III & IV) for major technology clients. You will not only execute complex testing but also train and mentor junior agents to standardize our mission-critical processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advanced Testing: Lead on-site commissioning for generators, ATS, UPS, and redundant power systems.
  • Specialized Analysis: Perform Power Quality Analysis and Thermal Imaging as required by project documents.
  • Leadership: Oversee project-specific electrical scopes and mentor junior commissioning staff.
  • Testing Lifecycle: Conduct and document Factory Acceptance Testing (
    FAT
    ), Site Acceptance Testing (
    SAT
    ), and Integrated Systems Testing (
    IST
    ).
  • Reporting: Prepare final commissioning reports that meet the high expectations of global tech organizations.
Qualifications
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of direct experience in commissioning, electrical engineering, or technical trades specifically within Mission-Critical / Data Center environments
    .
  • Technical Mastery: In-depth knowledge of electrical installations and their integration into BAS
    .
  • Education: HS Diploma or A.S. Degree required.
  • Mobility: Ability to travel frequently or relocate to project sites for the duration of the effort.
  • Preferred: CxA, BCxP, CCP, or CDCP certifications are a major plus.
