AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement energy‑efficient mechanical systems for next‑generation data centers.
- Lead cross‑functional teams in developing innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges.
- Oversee project lifecycle from conception through implementation, including budget management.
- Foster collaborative relationships with hardware teams to optimize facility‑equipment integration.
- Guide continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis and performance monitoring.
You’ll start your day connecting with global team members to review ongoing projects, analyze energy efficiency data, collaborate on cooling solutions, and mentor fellow engineers. You’ll participate in design reviews, engage with vendors, and contribute to sustainability initiatives that shape our environmental footprint.
Basic Qualifications- 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission‑critical facilities (e.g., data centers, power generation, oil and gas).
- 4+ years of commissioning experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.
- Professional Engineer License.
- Experience with building codes and regulations for your region.
- Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment.
- Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.
The base salary range for this position is $ – $ USD annually, varying by location. The total Amazon package includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
