Position: Summer 2026 Intern

Project Engineering Intern

Skanska is seeking a dynamic Project Engineering Intern to support project management teams across construction, cost, safety, estimating, and finance functions. The role offers exposure to multiple project phases and hands‑on experience in a professional, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent on assigned construction projects.
  • Gather, organize, and distribute project information to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate project activities under supervision, including preliminary scheduling and procurement.
  • Support accounting and estimating tasks as directed.
  • Perform routine daily activities and other duties assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Knowledge of basic phases of construction projects.
  • Understanding of mathematical functions (geometry, basic algebra).
  • Proficiency with computer applications (MS Office, HCSS, CGC, etc.).
  • Ability to work timely, professionally, and efficiently while communicating with customers, clients, subcontractors, and other third parties.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering (Mechanical or Civil), or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Eligibility

Qualified candidates who are not current Skanska employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States on an unrestricted basis (U.S. Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee). Skanska does not anticipate offering work‑site sponsorship for this position.
