The Senior Mechanical Designer will engineer HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for a variety of projects including retail, restaurant, public infrastructure, facilities, and residential. The role emphasizes retail design, with a focus on delivering high‑quality solutions within a dynamic MEP Department.

• Develop mechanical drawings for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Perform load calculations to determine system sizes.
• Ensure compliance with mechanical, plumbing, energy, and NFPA codes and specifications.
• Adhere to deadlines in a fast‑paced consulting environment.
• Conduct field visits to document and verify existing equipment and systems.
• Handle construction administration duties, including answering RFIs, reviewing submittals, and resolving design/coordination issues with contractors.
• Coordinate mechanical systems and utility design with Electrical, Architectural, Civil, and Structural disciplines.

• AS or BS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited school.
• 3+ years of experience in HVAC or plumbing & fire protection design.
• 1+ years of AutoCAD education, training, or related experience.

• BS or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited school.
• 5+ years of experience in HVAC or plumbing & fire protection design.
