This opportunity entails being responsible for assisting in the production and modification of bridge design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans and specifications for assigned projects. The role performs research, development, calculations, design and delivery in partnership with the project team, applying engineering techniques, procedures and design criteria to projects of varying size and complexity.
What You’ll Do- Complete assigned work within the schedule and hours provided.
- Prepare and/or modify selected portions of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.
- Develop project quantities and assist in developing cost estimates.
- Assist engineering teams with organization and administrative support of design files.
- Self‑sufficiently conduct tasks such as research, data collection, field investigations, development, and design of projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree in Engineering and 1 year of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in applying engineering, geometric, and algebraic principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Micro Station and/or AutoCAD or other required software.
- Understanding of bridge design fundamentals.
- Master’s degree in Engineering.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
- Knowledge of Micro Station and/or AutoCAD.
