We are seeking an experienced Control & SCADA Engineer to design, develop, and commission advanced control systems for solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SCADA, PLC, and plant level controls, with hands‑on experience in grid integration, microgrid systems, and renewable energy project execution.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, test, and commission SCADA, PLC, and plant control systems for solar PV and battery storage projects.
- Manage suppliers and designers to design, develop, test, and commission SCADA, PLC, and plant control systems for solar PV and battery storage projects.
- Configure and maintain RTUs, PLCs, and microgrid controllers, including MODBUS, DNP3, IEC 61850 protocols.
- Develop and support Generation Management System (GMS) applications: SCADA, AGC, ECA, FEP, and dispatcher operations.
- Conduct FAT, SAT, and field commissioning of instrumentation and control systems, including substations.
- Ensure compliance with ISO grid codes, PJM, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with construction, operations, and compliance teams to troubleshoot and optimize system performance.
- Develop and maintain I&C design standards, technical specifications, and vendor guidelines.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers on SCADA and control system best practices.
- Support microgrid, DERMS, and energy storage integration projects.
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field
- 5+ years in SCADA, PLC programming, and plant automation for solar, wind, or storage projects.
- Hands‑on experience with grid interconnection, energy storage, and microgrid systems.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, instrumentation, and controls engineering.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and team collaboration skills.
- Experience with DERMS, substation automation, reactive power control, STATCOM, and frequency control strategies.
- Familiarity with project management, process optimization, and team mentoring.
