Project Engineer, Quality Engineering

Seeking a Project Engineer to manage and support engineering projects from initiation through production readiness, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards, and driving continuous improvement in project execution and cost efficiency.

• Oversee project planning, scheduling, and scope definition, ensuring timely launches, transfers, and engineering changes from kickoff to production readiness.
• Monitor adherence to relevant codes, standards, quality policies, and technical specifications throughout project execution.
• Act as a liaison for internal teams and customers, providing updates, managing expectations, and escalating risks as necessary.
• Manage project budgets by tracking labor, material, tooling, and overhead costs, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions to maintain profitability.
• Conduct quality control, monitor project performance against budget and schedule, and provide regular status reports.
• Support design reviews, sampling processes, and process validation to ensure tools and processes meet quality and cycle time objectives.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver technical support and handle engineering changes, cost impacts, and documentation updates with minimal production disruption.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve cycle times, reduce scrap, optimize labor, and lower costs, while maintaining accurate project records and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 2–4 years of experience in project engineering, management, or related roles.
• Proficiency with engineering design software (such as Solid Works) and MS Office suite.
• Familiarity with engineering codes, standards, and quality assurance practices.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities.
• Demonstrated project management, time management, and organizational skills.
• Understanding and application of ISO 13485, AS9100 Clauses, and ISO standards for quality management systems.
