SummarySeeking a Project Engineer to manage and support engineering projects from initiation through production readiness, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards, and driving continuous improvement in project execution and cost efficiency.
Responsibilities- Oversee project planning, scheduling, and scope definition, ensuring timely launches, transfers, and engineering changes from kickoff to production readiness.
- Monitor adherence to relevant codes, standards, quality policies, and technical specifications throughout project execution.
- Act as a liaison for internal teams and customers, providing updates, managing expectations, and escalating risks as necessary.
- Manage project budgets by tracking labor, material, tooling, and overhead costs, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions to maintain profitability.
- Conduct quality control, monitor project performance against budget and schedule, and provide regular status reports.
- Support design reviews, sampling processes, and process validation to ensure tools and processes meet quality and cycle time objectives.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver technical support and handle engineering changes, cost impacts, and documentation updates with minimal production disruption.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve cycle times, reduce scrap, optimize labor, and lower costs, while maintaining accurate project records and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- 2–4 years of experience in project engineering, management, or related roles.
- Proficiency with engineering design software (such as Solid Works) and MS Office suite.
- Familiarity with engineering codes, standards, and quality assurance practices.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities.
- Demonstrated project management, time management, and organizational skills.
- Understanding and application of ISO 13485, AS9100 Clauses, and ISO standards for quality management systems.
