About the RoleWestinghouse is seeking an engineer on behalf of our client to work with the Projects Team for Subsequent License Renewal. The engineer will be skilled in design and fabrication of piping supports and rigging analysis, perform design verifications, own reviews, and review design change/engineering change packages following the commercial U.S. nuclear fleet standard design process.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain knowledge of civil/structural engineering analysis, evaluations, and component design.
- Provide civil engineering support for large projects at SPS including Crane Replacements, Feedwater Heater Replacements, building modifications, large piping, and other major component replacements.
- Schedule major engineering segments of complex projects to meet long-range design development schedule goals.
- Attend station schedule and outage meetings.
- 10+ years of design engineering experience.
- Civil/Structural Engineering degree (B.S. minimum; M.S. preferred). ABET accredited. Will accept equivalent experience. High school diploma is minimum requirement.
- Familiarity with standard civil engineering codes.
- Experience writing equipment specifications.
- Experience with large projects.
- 10 CFR 50.59 screen preparation and review experience.
- Competitive pay range: $80.00–$100.00 per hour.
