Role Overview
The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing IT efficiency, security, and mission effectiveness by designing, implementing, and maintaining a resilient and secure network infrastructure to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency's enterprise IT systems.
What You Will DoDesign, deploy, and maintain robust network infrastructure, configure and optimize network hardware, manage and support Unified Communications, lead complex network engineering projects, and implement and manage network access control.
Why It Might Be a FitThe ideal candidate will have experience in engineering and sustaining enterprise network infrastructure in DoD or other federal environments, with a proven track record in network security, load balancing, and routing protocols.
Requirements- Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Network Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline with 8-12 years of relevant experience
- Current DoD 8570/8140 baseline certification (Security+ and CCNA)
- Proven experience in engineering and sustaining enterprise network infrastructure in DoD or other federal environments
- Hands-on experience with routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF), network security (NGFW, IDS/IPS), and load balancing
- Experience with configuring routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN solutions from vendors like Cisco, and Palo Alto
