Alexander Associates are working with a well established civil engineering consultancy that is looking to appoint a Land Development Project Manager within Virginia.
This position will involve managing a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, industrial and mixed-use development projects.
Salary: $115,000-$165,000, depending on experience.
Job Specifications:
- Manage land and site development projects from planning through construction
- Oversee project scope, budgets, schedules and technical deliverables
- Coordinate grading, drainage, stormwater, utility and site design
- Lead engineers, designers and supporting technical staff
- Manage client communication and project expectations
- Coordinate with municipalities, review agencies and external consultants
- Review engineering plans, reports, calculations and specifications
- Assist with proposals, client development and future project opportunities
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Virginia Professional Engineer license, or the ability to obtain one
- Previous land or site development engineering experience
- Experience managing projects and technical teams
- Knowledge of grading, drainage, stormwater management and utility design
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Strong communication and client management skills
- Knowledge of Virginia development regulations and approval processes would be beneficial
