• Analyze credit, income, assets, and collateral to determine loan eligibility
• Apply investor and agency guidelines (FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, USDA, non-QM) with precision
• Issue clear, concise conditions to move files forward efficiently
• Communicate decisions and conditions to processors and loan officers in a timely manner
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and company policies at all times
• Support the lending team with scenario analysis and guideline interpretation
• Contribute to a culture of accuracy, accountability, and client-first service

• Active DE/SAR designation preferred (or willingness to obtain)
• Minimum 3 years of mortgage underwriting experience
• Strong knowledge of agency and investor guidelines; comfort with complex scenarios (jumbo, non-QM, and self-employed borrowers)
• Exceptional attention to detail and sound judgment
• Ability to manage a high-volume pipeline while maintaining quality standards
