Position OverviewThe Junior Financial Analyst supports budget formulation, budget execution, financial analysis, and reporting activities across multiple programs and organizational units. This role assists with financial planning, expenditure tracking, forecasting, and developing recommendations to support effective financial management and organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Support annual operating and capital budget development and execution.
- Perform financial analysis, forecasting, and budget tracking activities.
- Prepare financial reports, presentations, and management briefings.
- Monitor obligations and expenditures to ensure compliance with approved spending plans.
- Analyze financial trends and variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist with cost analysis, budget estimates, and business process improvements.
- Support change management and contingency planning activities.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve financial issues and improve reporting processes.
- Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, budget formulation, and budget execution. Degree requirement may be waived with 5+ years of directly related experience.
- 2+ years of experience performing financial calculations, including NPV, IRR, Time Value of Money, and amortization analysis using Excel and financial tools.
- 2+ years of experience preparing budgets, forecasts, financial reports, and business analyses.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify issues and recommend solutions.
- Proficiency with MS Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required
