Audit Manager

We are seeking an experienced CPA Subject Matter Expert (SME) with hands‑on experience in Single Audits and nonprofit financial management to support our team on a part‑time, hourly basis. The ideal candidate will provide expert guidance, review, and consulting support across engagements related to federal compliance and nonprofit accounting.

• Provide subject matter expertise on OMB Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200) and Single Audit requirements
• Review and advise on audit work papers, findings, and corrective action plans
• Support nonprofit clients with federal grant compliance and internal controls
• Assist with financial statement preparation and review under GAAP/FASB nonprofit standards
• Provide training or consultation to internal team members as needed
• Collaborate on audit engagements in a flexible, on‑call capacity

• Active CPA license in good standing
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Single Audit / Yellow Book audits
• Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting (FASB ASC 958)
• Familiarity with federal programs (HUD, HHS, DOL, Education, etc.)
• Experience with GAGAS (Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards)
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote/hybrid setting
• Located in or near Pittsburgh PA, New Bedford MA, Maryland, or Baltimore MD
