Financial Manager, Accounting Manager, CFO, Financial Reporting

QBE, LLC is seeking a Controller to support all accounting functions in the Haymarket Corporate office. This position will be reporting to the Sr. Director of Finance.
This role is a hand‑on senior‑level accounting professional responsible for overseeing the organization’s accounting operations, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. Managing day‑to‑day accounting, audits, and Accounts receivable. Managing a small team and assisting in improving accounting policies for a fast‑growing organization.
QBE is looking for someone to partner up with the Sr. Finance Director and drive financial transformation initiatives, including process improvement, automation, AI‑enabled efficiencies, building scalable accounting infrastructure capable of supporting rapid organizational groups.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements
- Maintain internal controls and strengthen them as the company grows
- Coordinate external audits and manage relationships with auditors
- Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
- Manage the month‑end and year‑end close processes
- Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures
- Oversee fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules
- Develop financial statements and work with finance to understand financial forecasts
- Monitor cash flow and working capital
- Manage banking relationships and credit facilities
- Oversee cash disbursements and optimize liquidity
- Support investment or financing decisions
- Partner with the Sr. Direct of Finance to guide financial strategy
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy across financial systems
- Coordinate federal, state, and local tax filings
- Ensure compliance with sales tax, payroll tax, and other obligations
- Work with external tax advisors as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required (CPA preferred)
- 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience
- Experience operating within a fast-growing small business organization with multi‑entity, multi‑location, or operational complex organization
- Strong technical accounting foundation with GAAP and DFAR
- Proven success leading accounting transformations, control enhancements, process improvement and organizational buildout initiatives
- Experience of working with ERP system Unanet
- Experience with implementing expense management systems, such as Concur
