The Senior Financial Analyst supports the financial planning, operations, and strategic priorities of UVAFinance at the University of Virginia. The position leads core budgeting activities, conducts monthly budget-to-actual analysis, maintains financial models and forecasts, and develops executive-level financial materials that translate complex data into actionable insights for leadership decision-making.
Key qualifications- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field
- Five years of relevant financial analysis, budgeting, or planning experience
- Demonstrated experience with budget development, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with enterprise financial systems such as Adaptive Planning or Anaplan
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines
