Job opening for the Town of Hamilton Treasurer.

The Town of Hamilton has an opening for the full-time Town Treasurer position due to retirement.

• Collecting, depositing, and investing town revenue.
• Managing town financial and administrative records; payroll & benefits; accounts payable; utility billing; budget preparation and assisting with the annual audit.
• Additional duties include Zoom meeting system management, document repository updates, agenda production and distribution.

Office Hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Attendance at monthly Town Council evening meetings is required.

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and a minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting practices and procedures, payroll and benefits management, revenue and accounts payable management; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of MCSJ Financial Management System is preferred.
• Ability to interact professionally with the public is essential.

Salary will be DOQ of the selected candidate. Starting salary range for this position is 70-80K. Total compensation package includes the Virginia Retirement System participation, paid vacation and sick leave, medical and dental insurance, approved professional dues and approved continuing education expenses.

The Town of Hamilton follows Loudoun County Government Holiday Schedule.
