Hiring Range: Salary commensurate with experience. Hiring range is $70,000-$77,000.

Full Time or Part Time: Full Time

Job Description:

Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia's capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. We also believe in providing an ongoing investment in our faculty and staff to deepen their skills and competencies to serve the full range of our student population.

The Fiscal Technician II serves as the staff member responsible for maintaining, updating and reconciling CCWA accounts. May work with CCWA grant program managers to ensure compliance with funding requirements and state and federal regulations. Assist the Business Manager with maintaining and updating CCWA financial system and performing a variety of fiscal-related duties in support of CCWA's business services.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Knowledge and experience with accounting principles and practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to research, investigate, analyze, reconcile, and evaluated financial data in compliance with applicable accounting directives and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform in-depth financial reconciliations.
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws, and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with automated financial systems and multiple funding sources.
  • Proficient in the use of Excel and Word.
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills.
Additional Considerations:
  • Post-secondary education in accounting or business administration or equivalent experience or training.
  • Experience preparing journal entries.
