Emergency Department - Registered Nurse

• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• Preferred 24 months of Emergency Department experience.
• Travel experience is required from any number of months.
• Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
• BSN completion preferred.

• Candidates must have a Virginia license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units.
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program:

Required Skills/

Experience:

Skill Sets: RNs are required to know how to initiate, maintain, and troubleshoot the ventilator, will train onsite with vent educator. Compounding of our own medications since department does not have pharmacy on site.

Preferred Skills/

Experience:

Prefers 2-year of ER experience or 1-year in freestanding ED. Critical care / Conscious sedation experience. Recent Emergency Department or Critical Care experience.

Required Credentials:

Must pass EKG Exam at Orientation (Study Guide Available in Simplify Library). CPI/De-escalation training.

Shift & Scheduling:

No Call, required to work every other weekend and every other major holiday.

7 days maximum time off
