Position: Coordinator Health Services Staffing - Full time

Job Description

Responsible for all activities relating to the scheduling, staffing, and payroll for Health Services (Assisted Living, Memory Support, and Health Care, depending upon the specific level(s) of support offered at the community).

Schedule
  • Full Time 8:00am - 5:00pm
Education, Experience, Certification And Licensure Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years work experience as a C.N.A. or Med Tech preferred.
Job Duties
  • Prepares master schedule for the Health Services (Assisted Living, Memory Support and Health Care) nursing team providing 24‑hours a day coverage. Works closely with Director of Nursing (DON), Resident Care Director (RCD), Supervisors and Medical Leaders to provide adequate staffing for all clinical areas of the community.
  • Post staffing for each area on a daily basis.
  • Maintains attendance records for each team member. Notifies Medical Leaders and DON/RCD of team members who are tardy or leave early. Notifies Medical Leaders and DON/RCD of team members who have a pattern of absenteeism. Works closely with Nurse Managers to provide adequate staffing for all clinical areas, households and neighborhoods.
  • Contact person for communicating with nursing agencies as needed.
  • Prepares bimonthly payroll for all Health Services team members, as appropriate.
  • Monitors team member’s time when entering payroll to maintain number of hours for team members status.
  • Attends mandatory in‑services and completes Relias/Learning in‑services assigned on the computer.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Ability to use standard office equipment including telephone, computer, copier and adding machine.
  • Ability to learn how to operate scheduling software.
  • Understanding of the duties and requirements of C.N.A., Med Tech and LPN/RN licensure and staffing.
  • Ability to communicate knowledgeably and cooperatively with clinical team members and management.
  • Ability to prioritize and cope with immediate scheduling needs of team members and managers.
  • Ability to communicate using the English language and to follow verbal and written instructions received in English.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters pertaining to this role.
Physical Requirements And Working Conditions
  • Bending, walking, sitting, stooping, and standing may be required during working hours.
  • Typical office environment.
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds.
  • Exposure to the sights, sounds and smells of a typical health services environment including exposure to persons with dementia.
  • Work is typically Monday through Friday but some weekends, evenings, and nights may be required.
