Are you interested in making a difference in the lives of young children and their families? As a Children's Center Occupational Therapist, you would provide early intervention and family support services to children birth through 12 years old, and we are looking for a full-time or part-time Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OTR/L). The target compensation for this position is $41.00–$46.00 per hour, depending on experience.

This position will be at our Augusta site to provide high-quality services to pre‑school and school‑aged children as part of an interdisciplinary team. This position offers flexibility with working in the classroom/office and remote. The OT will be responsible for the evaluation and treatment of children with feeding, sensory motor, fine motor, adaptive skills, visual motor, and neurological difficulties. Supervision of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant(s) (COTA) is also required.

This position features a sign‑on bonus of $3,000 for full‑time or $1,500 for part‑time. Part‑time positions of 20 hours a week minimum are eligible for the full benefits package, including free health care benefits, as well as the many additional benefits. As a non‑profit organization, employment with the Children's Center also qualifies for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program.

Employee Requirements

Must have a Master’s of Science degree from an accredited occupational therapy program or from the World Federation of Occupational Therapy (WFOT). Must have current NBCOT certification and State of Maine occupational therapy license, or be eligible for Maine licensure. Experience working with children aged birth to five years with developmental, neurological, sensory integration, motor and feeding delays strongly preferred. Additional 3-month Level II pediatric affiliation or pediatric early intervention experience preferred.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
