As a CT Tech, you will be responsible for the use of computed tomography equipment, ensuring accurate images are produced and passed to physicians for medical interpretation. You will also prepare and care for patients undergoing CT scanning.
- Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain procedures.
- Interpret and follow doctor's written instructions.
- Appropriately position patients for scans.
- Operate computerized tomography equipment for diagnostic imaging.
- Administer radiocontrast agents when appropriate.
- Evaluate scan quality.
- Follow radiation safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Use the McKesson PACS system.
Must have at least 1 year of CT experience, BLS, ARRT (CT) certification with registration, and state-specific licensing where required. Candidates should be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop easily and possess strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
