This is a full‑time, on‑site Office Manager/Licensed Optician role based in the Harbour View/Suffolk, Virginia. The role involves managing daily office operations, overseeing administrative processes, and ensuring the efficient functioning of both the office and optical department. Specific responsibilities include providing exceptional customer service, supervising office staff, ensuring proper use of office equipment, maintaining compliance with policies, and assisting with optical sales and fittings.

Collaboration with the clinical team and support staff to provide outstanding patient care is a key aspect of this position.

• Strong communication and customer service skills to effectively interact with patients, staff, and external vendors.
• Office administration and administrative assistance skills to manage schedules, records, and overall office operations with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining office equipment commonly used in optometric practices preferred.
• Knowledge of optical product fittings, prescriptions, and adjustments. A valid optician license is required. Will consider applicants currently enrolled in the Optician Apprentice program.
• Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills to address patient and staff needs efficiently.
• Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role is highly required.
• Familiarity with health insurance claims and billing processes is a plus.
