Seniors Helping Seniors Manassas/Stafford® is seeking experienced, dependable, and professional caregivers to provide advanced mobility assistance and personal care to a senior in the Spotsylvania, VA area.

We have both part-time and full-time opportunities available, with scheduling based on client needs and caregiver availability. Full-time hours may include assignments with additional clients.

For this specialized assignment, we need caregivers who are confident, physically capable, safety-conscious, and highly experienced with Hoyer lifts and clients requiring maximum transfer assistance.

• Hands-on experience safely operating a Hoyer lift
• Experience assisting clients who require maximum or total transfer support
• Strong knowledge of safe transfer techniques and body mechanics
• Confidence assisting with bathing, toileting, dressing, and repositioning
• Dependability, punctuality, and sound judgment
• A compassionate and respectful approach to personal care

• Safely operate a Hoyer lift and other approved transfer equipment
• Assist with transfers, positioning, and mobility
• Provide bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, and personal care
• Assist with activities of daily living
• Protect the client’s dignity, privacy, safety, and comfort
• Follow the established care plan and transfer procedures
• Recognize when a transfer cannot be completed safely and contact the office for assistance
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation as needed
• Provide medication reminders

• PCA or CNA certification is strongly preferred
• Previous hands-on Hoyer lift experience is required for this specialized assignment
• Experience supporting clients who require maximum or total transfer assistance
• Ability to perform the essential physical responsibilities of the position safely, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Willingness to complete a hands‑on Hoyer lift and transfer competency assessment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  
  Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance
• Ability to pass required background, driving record, and drug screenings
• Commitment to treating every client with dignity, respect, patience, and professionalism

Candidates without a current PCA certification may still apply for other available assignments but must be willing to complete the required PCA training within two weeks of hire. The company will provide access to the required course.
