Part-time schedules range from 20–34 hours per week. Additional hours may be available based on program needs.

As a Residential Support Specialist, you'll provide person-centered support that helps individuals build confidence and live as independently as possible.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide individualized support according to each Individual Support Plan (ISP)
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, dressing, and daily routines
• Support meal preparation and healthy living habits
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and home organization
• Transport individuals safely to appointments and community activities
• Encourage independence, decision-making, and life skills development
• Administer medications following agency procedures
• Complete electronic documentation and daily progress notes
• Observe and report changes in health, behavior, or overall well-being
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment
• Participate in required meetings and ongoing training

Preferred

• High School Diploma or GED
• One year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
• Active Virginia CNA, NA, or PCA certification

• Compassionate and dependable

• Comfortable working independently
• Strong in communication and teamwork
• Comfortable using computers and electronic documentation
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the physical requirements of the position
