Advanced Medical Support Assistant (AMSA) Dayton, Ohio Position Responsibilities

• Perform receptionist and customer service duties in a primary care clinic setting.
• Maintain appointment schedules and support patient access.
• Answer phones, screen calls, and route requests appropriately.
• Update demographic and insurance information.
• Collect, scan, and support records and insurance documentation.
• Support consult tracking, recall lists, and return-to-clinic workflows.
• Assist with clinic access contingency plans by adjusting appointments, times, or locations.
• Participate in daily huddles and weekly meetings with assigned PACT teams.
• Provide administrative coordination that supports patient care flow and clinic operations.

• Two to three years of experience in medical administration or certification from an accredited institution related to medical administration.
• Strong medical scheduling, patient communication, and clerical support capability.
• Ability to work effectively in a structured healthcare setting.
• Ability to obtain and maintain VA onboarding, access, and compliance requirements.

• Permanent Resident/Green Card holder with a Social Security Number and must have resided within the United States for the past three years;
• No sponsorship available.
