The Center for Safety and Healing (CSH) is a trauma-informed mental health practice dedicated to supporting children, adolescents, and families. The practice focuses on trauma, emotional regulation, and behavioral health, including specialized services for youth with complex needs. It offers a collaborative and supportive environment for clinicians who are passionate about creative and effective therapeutic approaches.

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Art Therapist to join our Richmond team. This position provides in-person services to children and adolescents, utilizing expressive and creative modalities to support emotional processing, trauma recovery, and skill development.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual therapy sessions using art-based interventions
• Support youth in processing trauma, emotional regulation, and behavioral challenges
• Collaborate with caregivers, treatment teams, and community partners
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
• Participate in team meetings and case consultation

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Art Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, or related field
• Licensed clinician preferred (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, ATR, ATR-BC, etc.)
• Residents or supervises will be considered
• Required:
  Experience working with children and adolescents
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care strongly preferred

Pay: $75,000.00 - $ per year
