Housekeeping Supervisor - Seasonal

Location

The Omni Homestead Resort & Spa is located in the Allegheny Mountains of Virginia. Since 1766, it has offered guests an opportunity to enjoy Southern hospitality at its best, with superb dining, championship golf, a spa, winter sports, and many activities ideal for families and corporate outings.

This is a seasonal position, from May to October, ensuring that the cleaning and servicing of guestrooms meet Omni standards.

• Inspects the cleaning and servicing of guestrooms, completing a minimum of two inspection forms for stayover or departure daily.
• Assigns special assignments as directed by the Director of Housekeeping.
• Conducts daily conversations with GRA in assigned areas and ensures all necessary rooms are completed.
• Walks pick‑up and vacant clean rooms left from the previous night and communicates the status to the office coordinator.
• Reports any repairs or discrepancies in guest rooms and follows up with housekeeping management on delays with repairs or deficiencies.
• Ensures that all GRA’s have appropriate supplies and linens.
• Ensures line‑level staff are in proper uniform and abide by the grooming policy.
• Assists in the cleaning of guest rooms when necessary.
• Ensures that the GRA’s housekeeping cart is neat and well organized.
• Ensures that linen closets on guest room floors are in good condition.
• Walks the section by the end of day to make sure hallways are clear of trash and linen.
• Performs any other tasks assigned by management.

• At least 1 year of prior supervisory/coordination experience in Housekeeping.
• Ability to maintain 4‑Diamond level cleanliness standards.
• Capability to work with management on special projects.
• Strong attention to detail with a sense of urgency as required.
• Experience with a Property Management System such as OPERA (plus).
• Bilingual experience (plus).
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Ability to push or pull a minimum of 75 lbs.
• Ability to communicate via radio and phone as needed.
• Open to all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
