As an HR Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of a fast-paced, dynamic HR team, providing essential support in talent management, employee engagement, and HR operations. You’ll handle key administrative functions such as onboarding, benefits coordination, and maintaining employee records while ensuring a seamless experience for both new hires and existing employees. - Conduct new employee orientation for union field employees.
- Review new hire paperwork and forms for completeness and accuracy and process accordingly.
- E-verify new hire employment eligibility by accessing the government website and entering employee information obtained from Form I-9.
- Assist in preparing and/or maintaining accurate applicant/employee information tracking and filing (i.e., applicant/new hire flow logs, coaching/review documents, warnings, terminations, wage adjustments, etc.).
- Maintain employee file system (electronic and hard copy, where applicable).
- Maintain level of confidentiality where required by policy and/or law (drug screen results, HIPAA restrictions, employee disciplinary actions, etc.).
- Assist other HR personnel with clerical needs.
- Assist with telephone inquiries regarding employee benefits and company policies/procedures. Escalate inquiries to management‑level when in question.
- May track benefit status and update employee payroll deduction records once eligibility requirements are satisfied.
- Complete employment verifications.
- Respond to unemployment claims.
- Perform additional assignments as requested/needed.
- High school degree (additional HR-related education preferable).
- 1-3 years of practical human resources-related experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when required by policy or by law.
- Strong technology skills and experience.
