The job posting is for a full-time, permanent Payroll Clerk II position at the Central Administration Building in the Payroll Department, starting in January 2026. The role involves processing payroll for over 1,000 employees, ensuring accuracy, timely disbursement, and resolving inquiries. Key responsibilities include managing bi-weekly payroll data, verifying submissions, calculating salaries, and maintaining records. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of relevant experience, knowledge of payroll procedures, and strong computer skills.

- High school diploma or GED; 2+ years of clerical and payroll experience
- Knowledge of automated payroll procedures, tax laws, and basic accounting
- Ability to work independently, follow complex instructions, and communicate effectively
- Proficient in computer data entry and keyboard skills
- Organize and process bi-weekly payroll data
- Verify and enter payroll submissions, including leave info and FMIS codes
- Calculate salaries for new employees, hourly workers, and personnel changes
- Monitor payroll data accuracy and review personnel adjustments
- Respond to payroll inquiries from staff and resolve discrepancies
- Perform clerical tasks related to payroll records and documentation
