Fractional HR Consultant

Humanity HR Consulting is sourcing a seasoned Fractional HR Consultant on behalf of a growing behavioral health clinic located in Virginia. This is a remote independent contractor position with varying hours estimated between 1 – 10 hours per month. The client would prefer and independent contractor located in Eastern or Central Time Zone.

As a Fractional HR Consultant
, you will be responsible for providing Human Resources support to a growing Behavioral Health Clinic located in Virginia. This position will be responsible for processing employee and contractor payroll and keeping the clinic up to date on compliance with federal and state labor laws.

• Payroll: Process a bi-weekly payroll for employees and run semi-monthly contractor payments in Gusto.
• Policies and Procedures: Develop and implement HR policies, procedures and best practices.
• Onboarding and Offboarding: Onboard and offboard employees and contractors in Gusto and create offer letters and contractor agreements.
• Employee Relations: Provide employee relations guidance and performance management support to the company owner.
• Document Creation: Updated employee handbook and create other documentation and policies as needed.

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an HR Generalist, HR Consultant, or HR Manager with varying levels of responsibility.
• Strong understanding of complex federal and Virginia state employment laws.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Proficient in Google Workspace
• Experience using the Gusto HR/Payroll technology platform
• Professional Certification is strongly preferred (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP)
