Probationary period will start over effective hire date for all state employees.
ResponsibilitiesKnowledge of federal and state payroll laws, regulations and policies related to payment of hours worked to include overtime and shift differentials and premiums.
Knowledge of Fair Labor Standards Act as it relates to exempt and nonexempt status of employees.
Knowledge of federal wage and hour laws.
Minimum Qualifications- Experience in maintaining all aspects of payroll for 300+ employees working various shifts and in various types of positions to include salaried and hourly.
- UKG Timekeeping System Experience
- Experience with shift differential and overtime calculation in a 24-hour healthcare setting.
- Experience filing payroll reports to include quarterly federal tax returns, state returns and reports required by the state employment commission.
- Experience in KRONOS timekeeping system required.
