HRIS Specialist, HR Generalist / Talent Management
Title: HR Coordinator (Leave Management Specialist)
Pay: $20 - $22/hour
Duration: 12 months - possibility to convert based on performance and attendance.
Schedule: Monday
- Friday (8am-5pm EST)
Hybrid: 3 days onsite required Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
- Monday and Friday always remote
Interview Process: 1 round 30 min zoom video interview with HM and team lead, will conduct second round if needed
Start Date
: ASAP pending 2 week notice and completing the onboarding process
Training:
Extensive 1-1 training where they will be assigned a mentor for support will be provided
This role is in HR Operations within the Leave Management Team supporting employees across the enterprise
HR Coordinator will be assigned a caseload each day (avg. 30 cases per day).
Working cases to ensure timecards are updated, employees are paid appropriately while on leave, managing system updates, providing customer service to internal employees, and being a true advocate for associates.
Get daily reports from leave management vendors and update the internal system with information regarding associate leave and pay.
Will send out pre-generated emails to associates regarding leave and pay approvals.
What we're looking for:- Must have HR experience
- Leave management experience is a plus but not required
- Knowledge of employee leave such as short term disability, long term disability, and FMLA
- Manager wants someone with a customer service mindset (Outgoing, positive, upbeat, courteous, passionate)
- Basic MS Excel skills – will be updating and inputting data into spreadsheets
- Soft Skills – Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, good problem-solving skills, organized, quick learner, process driven, etc.
Workday and Salesforce are a nice to have but not required
MUST have G-Suite experience
Additional Notes from HM:- The role starts with much data entry to best understand the system until they are ramped up

- Heavy data entry and HR operations support
- Process employee leave data
- Update timecards + pay codes
Coordinate with vendors, Employees, managers - Maintain leave records in system
- Update employee status, payroll inputs
- Some communication with stakeholders
- G-Suite
- Workday (preferred, not mandatory)
- Salesforce (used for case management)
- Any case management system experience is useful
- HR / Benefits exposure (nice to have)
- Knowledge of STD, FMLA, LTD, state leave
- Payroll or HR systems experience
The HR Coordinator performs a wide variety of Leave Management activities, including updating key transactions into the HR processing system, answering, and managing a high volume of work in Salesforce, ensuring all documentation and system updates are accurate and meet regulatory requirements all with a focus on providing an exceptional associate experience.
A successful candidate would offer and implement process improvements to drive efficiencies, compliance adherence, and the associate experience. Additional support in HR auditing, testing, and reporting to meet SLA's.
Responsibilities:- Responsible for the documentation of Leave in all HR systems.
- Prioritizes work from external HR vendors and fulfills ad hoc HR requests.
- Communicates/partners with associates on leave about policy and pay issues.
- Provides additional information and guidance to associates with questions concerning their leave management options.
- Performs a variety of regularly scheduled and ad-hoc audits of leave management data to maintain compliance with established standards.
- High School Diploma required
- Associate or bachelor's degree preferred
- 1+ years of HR experience
- 1+ years of payroll experience or benefits experience (e.g. STD, LTD, FMLA)
- Familiarity with the leave and benefit programs is a plus
- 1+ year of experience with Workday HR System preferred
- 1+ year of experience with case management systems
- Proficient in MS Office and G-Suite
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Regular attendance is required to be successful in this role and overtime maybe required as business needs dictate.
- Professional HR certification is preferred
