Overview
The CMS Division of Civilian Health Solutions (CHS) at Leidos has an opening for an EFT Engineer in the Baltimore, MD office. This role supports the MiSP program and requires a seasoned professional with a full understanding of EFT/MFT technology, processes, best practices, and federal health IT experience. The successful candidate will interface with customers and teams to support the existing EFT environment and daily operations.
Responsibilities- Installation, configuration and administration of IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, IBM Sterling Control Center and IBM Sterling Connect:
Direct in Unix/Linux environments. - Manage and support IBM Sterling B2B Integrator and IBM Connect Direct.
- Migration of customers to AWS File Transfer solution.
- Collaborate with business leads to understand functional requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solutions that meet those requirements efficiently.
- Validate requirements, document functional specifications, and develop process models and use cases.
- Monitor performance, availability and capacity of equipment; identify and report potential concerns to management.
- Contribute to incident resolution by diagnosing and troubleshooting incidents, following change control processes, updating incident tickets, documenting status, escalating as appropriate, and participating in root cause analysis.
- Perform preventative maintenance on IBM Sterling B2B Integrator and supporting environment, including applying latest security patches and fixes from the vendor.
- Develop and document system documentation; develop reports.
- Maintain knowledge of software industry trends and provide direction for future solutions.
- Provide rotational off-hours support.
- BS Degree and 8+ years of experience as a Unix/Linux system administrator, network administrator, or application support role in IT operations. Additional years of experience may be substituted for degree.
- Extensive hands-on experience with administration and support for IBM Sterling (Connect:
Direct on Unix, Control Center, B2B Integrator). - Experience in installation, configuration and administration of IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, IBM Sterling Control Center and IBM Sterling Connect:
Direct in Unix/Linux environments. - Experience with IBM Sterling integrator mapping and development of business processes.
- Experience in Linux, preferably RHEL scripting and shell.
- Experience in Data Transfer Protocols such as SFTP and HTTPS.
- Experience working in AWS.
- Experience in creating and handling SSL certificates and SSH keys.
- Experience in networking hardware and protocol basics (OSI model, IPv4 addressing/masking, routing protocols, ARP, NAT, VLAN, VIP, TCP/UDP).
- Experience in network security and encryption tools (SSH, VPN).
- Experience in software and hardware configuration management.
- Strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and in a team.
- Ability to document procedures and train others; strong documentation skills.
- Strong analytical skills; works closely with business analysts and team members to provide IT- and business-specific knowledge and expertise to create aligned solutions.
- AWS Certifications are a plus.
- Experience in AWS services required for transfer family integrations.
- Experience in Python, PERL, Java/J2EE, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, XML, FTP.
- Experience in file encryption protocols - PGP, GPG.
- Active Public Trust.
