PPRO is looking for a Solutions Manager to help build and own the technical account strategy in connecting new and existing customers to PPRO’s network of Local Payment Methods (Bank Transfers, Buy-Now-Pay-Later, Direct Debit, eWallet, etc.).
You will join our expanding APAC commercial team in China, with dotted lines to the global solutions team responsible for delivering both new and existing business wins in China and ASEAN for our international local payment methods and LATAM payment service offering. In this client-facing role, you will be a customer focal point for everything technically and project related to PPRO, providing industry knowledge, technical know-how, and a human face and voice to the business.
As a Solutions Manager, you will work with the regional new business and account management teams and global sales teams, and also interface with multiple departments around the world — driving new opportunities, optimizing current services, providing solutions, and operationalizing PPRO services within our clients’ portfolios.
What would make you a great fit- Strong technical aptitude — hands-on experience with REST/JSON APIs (e.g., sample integrations, Postman experience) within the payments domain
- Experience owning technical portions of payment acquiring-focused RFPs / RFIs
- 4+ years of work experience in a customer-facing, semi-technical role within the payments industry with a strong understanding of merchant acquiring for cards primarily, and local payment methods. LATAM payments experience is a bonus
- A strong pedigree of customer service and customer focus, and being unafraid to challenge customers’ ideas when necessary for the betterment of the relationship
- Ability to juggle customer customization needs with internal capacity / technical feasibility
- Consultative approach to problem-solving
- Flexibility to coordinate work and stakeholders across multiple timezones
- Fluent Mandarin skills, both verbal and written, to a native business speaking standard
- Strong English skills, both verbal and written
- Experience and understanding of cultural differences in doing business with international colleagues and customers
- We’re not looking for a developer, but the following technologies should not be foreign to an applicant
- HTTPS / SSL / Lifecycle of configuring an SSL certificate
- SSH / SFTP
- Back-end:
