Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Data Steward to support data governance, compliance, and optimization efforts across Workplace Infrastructure & Logistics (WIL). This role serves as the primary technical authority for managing data assets, ensuring data integrity, security, lineage, and alignment with enterprise governance standards.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in data governance, metadata management, compliance frameworks, and cross-functional collaboration

ResponsibilitiesTechnical Data Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for technical data questions and issues within WIL divisions
Capture, maintain, and document data lineage, metadata, and data definitions for WIL data assets
Provide technical data recommendations on behalf of Business Data Owners, aligning business needs with compliance and governance standards
Partner with stakeholders to implement and enforce information security controls (e.g., encryption, role-based access control)
Drive compliance with Enterprise Data Governance (EDG), Data Risk Governance (DRG), Records & Information Management (RIM), Enterprise Operational Risk Management (EORM), and Information Management Policy Office (IMPO) standards
Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for WIL systems
Track and manage data assets, audits, and governance deliverables
Collaborate with divisional Technical Data Stewards, ETS teams, and enterprise governance partners
Work closely with business data stewards, managing data stewards, and technical support teams to resolve data issues
Communicate data governance decisions clearly to ensure technology teams understand impacts
Facilitate education through meetings, training sessions, and governance communications
Support complex data analysis to inform governance and technical decisions
Maintain data dictionaries and metadata repositories
Perform basic data transformations as needed to support governance initiatives
Identify skill gaps and advocate for training and development in technical data stewardship
Support special initiatives related to workplace systems, data quality improvements, and system integrations
Collaborate on strategic planning to align WIL with enterprise data governance and risk management goals
Partner with technology security teams on annual and ad hoc governance projects
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience with
data cataloging, metadata management, business glossaries, data lineage, and master data managementDemonstrated success implementing data governance practices in complex environments
Strong analytical, root cause analysis, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to balance business needs with technical constraints in a changing governance landscape
Experience with workplace infrastructure or facilities management systems
Knowledge of compliance frameworks and enterprise data governance trends
Familiarity with administrative services or operational data environments
