The Service Now System Administrator maintains the stability and usability of the Service Now platform by performing application maintenance, managing support for incidents related to Service Now applications, and contributing to Service Now software releases through configuration tasks and feature delivery.
This role requires strong technical ability to perform common Service Now configuration, administration, and maintenance activities while supporting platform reliability and operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and resolve incidents related to Service Now applications.
- Perform routine platform maintenance, including performance monitoring and error identification/remediation.
- Create and migrate Update Sets across Service Now instances.
- Schedule, execute, and verify instance clones.
- Participate in Service Now upgrade planning and execution.
- Manage instance security, including users, groups, roles, and Access Control Lists (ACLs).
- Contribute to Service Now platform releases through configuration and feature support.
- Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
- Perform other assigned duties as required.
- Active Secret clearance; must be able to obtain TS/SCI clearance and DHS Suitability.
- 8+ years of systems administration experience.
- 4+ years of experience supporting Service Now implementations.
- 4+ years of experience with Service Now applications including:
- Change Management
- Knowledge Management
- Service Catalog
- Knowledge of principles, methods, and techniques used in Service Now systems administration and support.
- Experience with process development and deployment.
- Experience with Angular
JS. - Experience with web service integrations (API/Web Services).
- Experience with LDAP integration.
- Experience configuring and administering Single Sign-On (SSO).
- Experience with additional Service Now applications, including: ITx, HR, ITOM, ITBM, CSM, Security, Asset Management (HAM/SAM), PPM, Platform/Integration, Portal/UI, and GRC
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or Computer Systems Engineering.
- DoDI 8570.1-M Compliance at IAT Level I
