About Armaments Research Company

Armaments Research Company (ARC) is a technology company dedicated to bringing real-time situational awareness and battlefield logistics capabilities to the warfighter. You will be an integral part of the ARC team managing program execution in support of our innovative and powerful IoT devices to enhance national security.

Our core offering is the ARC AI-Enabled Weapons Sensor (AEWS), which collects and transmits real-time tactical data to the cloud. This information enables battlefield/tactical awareness and aggregated insights into big data sets that do not exist today. ARC technologies were initially developed in partnership with DARPA and the National Science Foundation and leverage internet‑of‑things (IoT) technology and machine learning to derive actionable insights and transform operational responses.

This novel technology will be deployed at scale to enhance safety, decision‑making, and sustainment for the warfighter at the tactical edge.

What You’ll Do

We are seeking a hands‑on Product Leader to own the product vision, roadmap, and execution alignment for a defense‑focused IoT system operating in real‑world ground combat and training environments. This role is for a doer, not a slide‑builder. You will spend time with users, operate the product yourself, make hard prioritization decisions, and ensure the product delivered by engineering solves the right problems under real operational constraints.

You bring deep domain familiarity with U.S. ground combat, training, or operational environments. You enjoy high activity in ambiguous, constraint‑heavy environments. You have strong ownership mentality, you’re laser‑focused on outcomes, and you value hands‑on orientation favoring direct validation over abstraction.

  • Make clear tradeoffs between scope, timeline, usability, and feasibility
  • Continuously refine priorities as customer needs evolve
Customer Discovery & Validation
  • Drive direct customer discovery through interviews and field observation
  • Personally operate the product
  • Translate real user behavior into actionable insights
Execution Alignment
  • Triage and prioritize customer feedback with engineering and sales
  • Provide clear, implementable product requirements
  • Validate product quality and release readiness
UX & Product Definition
  • Create or guide UI/UX mockups and workflows
  • Ensure usability in high‑stress operational environments
  • Act as authority on product behavior
Metrics & Performance
  • Define success metrics tied to operational value
  • Track performance and adoption
Defense Context & Constraints
  • Navigate defense acquisition and security constraints
  • Balance ideal design with deployment realities
Relevant Skills & Experience
  • Domain experience in U.S. ground combat
  • Hands‑on product mindset
  • Comfort with rapid iteration and imperfect information
  • Ability to write clear, implementable and testable requirements
  • Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills
Bonus Points
  • Formal product management experience
  • Ability to understand technical tradeoffs
  • Experience with sensor‑driven or IoT systems
