Guidehouse is seeking a highly skilled Analytics Platform Dev Ops Engineer to be part of its central Products, Platforms, and Tools group in the office of the CTO. This role requires someone comfortable writing code who can both implement and help set standards and best practices to automate creation of cloud resources—including Databricks and Unity Catalog—in a complex environment. This engineering professional will be focused on Analytics Infrastructure as Code, Git Ops, and Security/Risk techniques necessary to build successful (minimal risk) solutions for large commercial enterprises and public sector customers.
The engineer will leverage expertise in deploying and managing Databricks environments, alongside other cloud-driven architectures, to improve consistency, safety, and operational excellence. Partnering with IT Architecture and IT Security team, this leader will build from reusable components highly secure and repeatable solutions / frameworks that will be used in proposals and as delivery structures to accelerate the delivery. The successful engineer will partner with business segments to build novel solutions, as well as harvesting successful solutions into a common catalog.
- Architect, automate, and operate enterprise analytics platforms leveraging Terraform, Git Hub, Kubernetes, and Git Ops to deliver secure, repeatable, and scalable cloud environments.
- Design and build next‑generation analytics infrastructure
, modernizing legacy deployments and implementing hardened CI/CD workflows aligned with Zero Trust and cloud governance best practices. - Develop reusable modules, templates, and reference architectures to accelerate product teams and improve platform standardization.
- Integrate and operationalize third‑party libraries, APIs, and partner technologies into end‑to‑end cloud solutions.
- Contribute to engineering excellence through code commits, PR reviews, automation improvements, and platform observability enhancements.
- Improve containerized workloads on both Azure and AWS and enhance workload efficiency across analytic platforms such as Databricks, Posit Workbench, and Posit Connect.
- Collaborate across IT and security organizations to ensure compliance, resiliency, and policy alignment.
- Leverage tools such as Git Hub, Jira, and Service Now as part of a mature Dev Sec Ops operating model.
- 6+ years of relevant industry experience.
- 4+ years of experience in a Dev Ops or Cloud Infrastructure Engineering (or similar) role.
- Strong knowledge of Terraform and other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
- Strong knowledge of Security principles, 12 Factor App design.
- Experience working in public cloud (specifically Azure or AWS).
- Ability to research, plan, organize, lead, and implement new processes or technologies.
- Experience in Agile CI/CD cloud deployment techniques.
- Demonstrated capabilities to apply policy driven frameworks to cloud deployments, inclusive of micro-services (Kubernetes) alongside terraform or similar IaC techniques.
- Knowledge of modern development languages with deep 3-4yrs experience in at least one (python, golang, java script).
- Experience deploying or maintaining Big Data or analytics platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, Red Shift, Big Query, Synapse.
- Experience working in version control platforms such as Git Hub or Azure Dev Ops.
- Experience with agile management tools like Jira, Git Hub Projects, or Azure Dev Ops.
- Strong communications and leadership skills with a demonstrated capability to drive change within organizations and for clients.

- Experience configuring Helm charts, writing Terraform, administrating Azure and/or AWS, working in Docker.
- Have knowledge of containerization through Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, etc.
- Ability to clearly articulate pros and cons of various technologies and platforms and architectural options, as well as being able to document use cases, solutions and recommendations.
- Cloud certifications (Azure or AWS) preferred.
