Cloud Data Engineer

Position: Cloud Data Engineer
Location: Onsite - Richmond, VA
Duration: 5 Months

• Design, develop, and maintain modern, cloud-native applications, primarily on Microsoft Azure.
• Collaborate with the Office of Information Management (OIM) and Solutions Engineering and Architecture Team (SEAT) to deliver scalable and secure cloud solutions.
• Leverage expertise in major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) for application and data engineering tasks.
• Utilize Azure services (App Service, AKS, Functions, Storage, Databases) in solution architecture and deployment.
• Implement and manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Develop applications using programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, Go, or Node.js.
• Apply Dev Ops best practices, leveraging tools like Azure Dev Ops and Git Lab for CI/CD and source control.
• Ensure cloud security by applying IAM, data protection, and cloud security best practices.
• Work with various databases including SQL Server, Oracle, and No
  
  SQL systems.
• Stay current with emerging data technologies and industry trends, and document processes for knowledge sharing.
• Support the Data Management team with data transmission and related tasks.
• Collaborate effectively with team members, demonstrating strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Operate in Agile and Dev Ops environments for efficient project delivery.
