JOB DESCRIPTIONWe are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, security, and compliance of enterprise software applications operating within a secure, cloud-hosted environment. The Quality Assurance Engineer will work as an integral member of Agile development teams, collaborating with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to validate system functionality and support continuous improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on system requirements and user stories.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and data validation testing for web‑based and cloud‑hosted applications.
- Validate integrations across GOTS, COTS, and custom‑built components to ensure interoperability and data integrity.
- Identify, document, and track defects using issue management tools and collaborate with development teams to support resolution.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) activities and validate results against acceptance criteria.
- Verify compliance with security, performance, and operational requirements.
- Contribute to quality metrics, test reports, and release readiness assessments.
- Assist with test environment coordination and release validation activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–7 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing.
- Experience testing web‑based and cloud‑hosted applications.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test life cycle, and defect management processes.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Familiarity with issue tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience supporting government or regulated systems.
- Familiarity with secure cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure (including IL5/IL6).
- Exposure to test automation tools or scripting languages.
- Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and data validation techniques.
- Knowledge of basic security and performance testing concepts.
- CompTIA Security+ certification or ability to obtain.
- Excellent compensation commensurate with experience in related field(s) and performance.
