Role

Site Reliability Engineer – Skill Bridge Intern (Virginia) – onsite role based in Crystal City, Virginia, reporting to the Manager, Site Reliability Engineering. You will be part of the Zero Trust Exchange team, focusing on enabling US Government organizations to harness speed and agility through a cloud‑first strategy. Bring your vision and passion to help scale our multitenant architecture and enhance services across classified environments.

You’ll Do (Role Expectations)
  • Manage operational tasks for products in US Government classified environments, including deployments, on‑call duties, and incident management.
  • Develop scripts, containerized services, and monitoring mechanisms to automate operations tasks and ensure minimal service disruption.
  • Create operations documentation and implement measures to prevent recurring incidents while contributing to Dev Ops best practices.
  • Build and enhance Zscaler services within classified environments, ensuring 24×7 coverage including night and holiday shifts.

What We’re Looking For (Minimum Qualifications)
  • US Citizenship and an active Top Secret Security Clearance, with ability to work from a SCIF.
  • 5+ years of Site Reliability Engineering experience in both Operations and Engineering, including Python coding and container‑based architectures such as AWS ECS or Kubernetes.
  • Current Active Duty U.S. military member, or a member of the U.S. Guard/Reserve on active duty orders for at least the last 180 days, with 180 days or fewer remaining prior to discharge.
  • Unit commander approval.
  • MOU approved and submitted before start.
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Experience managing air‑galled environments and FedRAMP High/Moderate authorization levels.
  • Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level 2 certification.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance (additional to above).
