Overview
Salesforce Professional Services is hiring Solution Architects to join the Mission force team. As a Solution Architect, you will provide steady architectural leadership across large and complex engagements and partner with executive and delivery stakeholders to co-create and execute solution visions for our most complex customers in the Defense & National Security space. The Solution Architect serves as a hands-on advisor combining Salesforce platform expertise, industry knowledge, and consulting acumen to design and deliver scalable, mission-aligned solutions.
The Solution Architect / Senior Solution Architect is a dual-impact leader across presales and delivery, responsible for shaping, scoping, and aligning complex engagements to position federal customers for long-term success as a trusted advisor. This role drives architectural strategy from initial solutioning through execution, ensuring mission-critical programs are set up to deliver measurable outcomes. They provide and are accountable for architectural integrity, executive alignment, and elevate solution quality while cultivating a high-performance culture across the team.
As stewards of the Professional Services Methodology, they leverage cross-functional networks to enforce best practices, scale delivery excellence, and ensure consistency across Mission Force engagements.
Your Impact includes serving as a trusted advisor to the client; identifying and leading internal strategic initiatives to grow the consulting practice; guiding customers and colleagues in rationalizing and deploying emerging technologies that drive increased business value; working collaboratively and demonstrating strong communications skills; identifying and proactively managing risk areas; managing customer expectations; reviewing and correcting project and program direction, approach, and key artifacts;
and driving a program vision while advising and articulating program and project strategies to enable technologies including the Salesforce platform.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the client
- Identify and lead internal strategic initiatives to grow the consulting practice; contribute to the community's knowledge base and expertise
- Guide customers and colleagues in deploying emerging technologies that drive value
- Collaborate with strong communications skills, including teaching complex concepts and prescriptive thinking across client levels
- Identify and proactively manage risk areas and drive issue resolution
- Manage customer expectations; negotiate solutions with customers and third-party partners
- Review and correct project direction, approach, and artifacts to keep programs on track and solutions maintainable
- Drive a program vision and advise on program strategies to enable Salesforce technologies
- 8+ years of relevant experience in enterprise architecture or consulting on the Salesforce Platform throughout the full life cycle with repeated and demonstrable success
- Expert in Salesforce configuration and architectural strategy, translating current-state complexity into clear target-state designs and delivering solutions that enable critical outcomes
- Experience leading discovery sessions, defining business requirements, writing user stories, and providing detailed system designs
- Experience documenting business processes and wire-framing system designs using process flow diagrams, UML, sequence diagrams, and recommending future-state improvements
- Strong presentation skills; able to present a point of view and rationale to stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to develop materials appropriate for the audience
- Excellent listening skills and ability to connect with people in diverse roles
- Resourceful and innovative thinker able to solve problems
- Must be Metro DC located
- Active Secret level security clearance highly preferred
- Multiple Salesforce Core Architecture certifications
- Degree or equivalent relevant experience; experience evaluated based on core competencies
- Experience in public sector digital transformation initiatives
- Hands-on experience with Public Sector Solutions (Agentforce Public Sector)
- Hands-on experience with Omni Studio
- Ability to convey and convince customers of best practices at various levels within a large organization
- Application design and development background
- Travel may be required and varies with client requirements
- Qualification for this job is contingent upon acceptable results from a background investigation and obtaining/maintaining the required U.S. Government security clearance. U.S. citizenship (U.S. born or naturalized) required.
