Position: Content Strategist with Magnolia

As a Content Strategist, you will be responsible for ensuring content is represented in the most effective way and placing “the user” at the center of everything we do. We are searching for a professional Content Strategist (Magnolia CMS Experience) with hands‑on experience using Magnolia CMS to plan, structure, govern, and optimize enterprise digital content across web and omnichannel platforms. If you are a people person who is tech savvy with a strong content creation background and has experience working on multidisciplinary teams, then this is a great role for you.

The ideal candidate for this role will be a master of architecting conversations and interactions with end users. You will be responsible for developing a content strategy based on a company’s or client’s business objectives, as well as the customer’s or end user’s needs. You will oversee content requirements and create content strategy deliverables across the project life cycle. This includes conducting content inventories, audits, as well as gap analyses, while also leading efforts associated with content re‑engineering and copywriting.

Additionally, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining editorial calendars, style guides, taxonomies, metadata frameworks, content migration plans and assisting with the technical integration of content.

  • Conduct and analyze user research to identify strategic content needs and critical gaps across user journeys

  • Collaborate with contributors to ensure that content aligns to strategy and quality standards
  • Analyze website content tagging, organization and hierarchy to offer strategic recommendations for optimization
  • Deliver high quality strategic materials such as marketing playbooks, user personas, content frameworks or other communication strategy deliverables as need
  • Develop strategies that prioritize the user experience, putting the right content in front of the right people on the right channel at the right time
  • Advocate for importance and value of content strategy as a discipline within our organization as well as to clients
  • Tactfully communicate, often facilitating dialogue between internal teams and external clients
  • Define personas, as well as assess the audience for deliverables; communicating clearly, concisely, and confidently
  • Demonstrate problem‑solving skills in resolving complex cross‑functional issues as they relate to content and user experiences
  • Develop and get approval for content strategy, then manage said content strategy
  • Prioritize feedback on strategic solutions for continuous improvement efforts
  • Understand the holistic impact of content decisions and strategy across an entire organization
  • Promote user experience and strategy as a practice within the organization; demonstrating excellence in user research process, communication and industry‑leading research techniques.
  • Facilitate workshops rooted in the design thinking methodology to discover insights that lead to innovative modern solutions
  • Be a storyteller to bring ideas to life, garnering influence, buy‑in and adoption across project teams as well as company wide
