Senior Exploitation Specialist/Data Scientist

• Collect process data and perform data analysis.
• Integrate, centralize, protect and maintain data in DBMS.
• Clean, massage and organize data.
• Perform ad hoc analysis and present results clearly.
• Communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise and actionable manner using storytelling and visualization.
• Create, deploy and maintain cloud applications to support migration of data and production processes.
• Create, deploy and maintain tools to extract feature data and meta-data from a variety of sources, including raster to vector, vector to text, and text databases.
• Write and maintain Python scripts in ArcGIS to improve efficiency of the production process.
• Support business process re‑engineering.
• Perform data conversion and migration.
• Perform business analytics.

• Quantitative bachelor’s degree with 10 years of related experience.
• Related master’s degree with 7 years of experience.
• Programming skills in Python, Pig, Java, JS, SQL or R; spatial analysis, data mining, database structures and visualization.
• Statistical or mathematical modeling.
• Experience managing data science projects, data mining and spatio‑temporal analysis; familiarity with Docker, Jupyter Hub and GIT.
• Previous experience with Data Bricks and Apache Spark.

• Quantitative Ph.D.
• Deep learning for data science.
• Proficiency in at least two programming languages, two data visualization tools and two cloud technologies.
• Experience with Windows or Linux command‑line interface.
• Demonstrated experience in independent certification.

$89,700.00 – $. The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include responsibility of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, internal equity and market data.
