Project Manager; Part time

Title: Project Manager (Part-time)

Location: Henrico, VA (Hybrid)

Duration: 8+ months

Type: Contract

This role is 20 hours per week with a maximum of 640 hours and will remain a part-time engagement until completion. No changes to this arrangement are planned. Hybrid with on-site attendance expected once a week.

Project Manager will provide project management oversight for the design, configuration, staff training, and implementation of VBOA's replacement licensing and management system and provide internal support for the steps required by the client.

• Lead team members through process mapping and requirements gathering.
• Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for the project.
• Oversee the various system implementation phases and processes.
• Manage user acceptance testing and certify that the solution is ready for deployment.
• Certify that the solution is fully implemented as planned.
• Handle change management, overall vendor management, and project closeout.

• Strong management and leadership skills.
• Ability to set and maintain adherence to project goals with internal team and IT vendor.
• Maintain project time frames, budgeting estimates, and status reports for executive management and the board.
• Coordinate project team members and develop and track schedules and individual responsibilities.
• Implement IT strategies that deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) certification through PMI required.
• Demonstrated experience in effective team building and communication skills.
• Experience executing SaaS or PaaS implementation.
• Strong vendor management skills.
• Experience assisting the client in planning, developing, and validating functional and technical requirements to support IT solutions.
• Knowledge of current client policies, standards, procedures, and practices.
