Job SummaryThe Infrastructure Change Manager will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the program’s enterprise infrastructure, including VMs, servers, storage, and other critical components, ensuring optimal performance and security.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain IT infrastructure: oversee day‑to‑day operations of the Enterprise infrastructure for the program, monitor, deploy, and decommission systems, servers, storage, and other infrastructure components across on‑prem and SaaS datacenters for the DOD client.
- Build and manage project schedules, including vendor management.
- Review system alerts, escrow and follow up as required for operational stability; the system is managed 24x7x365 across all time zones.
- Create detailed work plans and schedules for OS upgrades, DB migrations, datacenter shutdown activities, and other infrastructure projects.
- Manage weekly ACAS reports and tickets, follow up on all SOC tickets for remediation, and collaborate with IA and Integration teams to enforce DOD security standards (RMF, STIGS, etc.) within Lab, Production, and COOP environments.
- Monitor environmental performance: work with teams and vendors to assess performance of infrastructure components and make adjustments to optimize efficiency.
- Lead and mentor team members: provide guidance and support to the IT team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment among multiple teams and customer stakeholders.
- Budget management: manage the infrastructure budget, including software and hardware upgrades/refresh requests with the customer.
- Vendor management: collaborate with external vendors and service providers to ensure high‑quality support and services.
- DoD contract compliance: ensure all infrastructure activities comply with Department of Defense contract requirements.
- Manage patching schedules and maintenance windows: develop annual patching schedules for all enterprise and store‑level components, and manage maintenance windows for minimal disruption and optimal system performance.
- Prepare and present monthly program Change Control Board meetings; attend and present to customer CAB reviews as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT/change infrastructure management for mid‑size datacenters.
- Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise servers, storage, and security protocols (Windows, Linux, SQL, Mongo
DB, Oracle). - Excellent leadership, team management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective infrastructure strategies, process documentation, and policies.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Experience with ACAS, SPLUNK, Trellix, Forescout, Dynatrace, Tivoli, and related tools.
- Compliance with DoD 8140 standards or attainment of certification within 90 days.
- Clearance required:
Public Trust (Secret Clearance a plus).
